A new factory is born: it’s a thinking factory. It’s located in an imaginary place. It’s working 24 hours a day. Its products are called “O”.

From this abstract, metaphysical, conceptual factory the intellectual factory workers admire the spontaneous coming of all objects as if it was craftsmanship for robots: this is the paradoxical aspect of computer science as applied art, as work for hands of romantic robots. It’s huge and very little at the same time. It has no fixed goals except producing aesthetics.
